Funding for 46 Food Pantries
Brian led a proposal to allocate $5 million from American Rescue Plan Act funds to provide 46 DuPage County food pantries with support to purchase and preserve fresh produce to address decreasing support from partner food suppliers.

Supporting FISH Food Pantries
In August 2022, Brian secured over $175,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to Downers Grove Township to directly provide critical support to the Downers Grove FISH Food Pantry that is struggling to meet the demands of hunger insecure residents.

Westmont Natatorium
In August 2022, Brian led the initiative to provide $150,000 for the Westmont Natatorium to bid to host national swimming events in an effort to increase county-wide tax revenues from tourism spending rather than increasing taxes for local taxpayers.

Animal Shelter Development
In May of 2022, Brian led a proposal to loan DuPage County Animal Services $4.5 million to assist in their expansion and renovation of the county animal shelter to address overcrowding and hygiene concerns currently impacting the present shelter.

Major Crime Response Task Force
In 2021, Brian led the initiative to provide additional funding to the Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigative Team (MERIT), a task force coalition of 36 police departments addressing and preventing major crisis situations throughout DuPage County.


Sheriff Training Improvements
In early 2021, Brian stopped proposed cuts to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office for tasers and mental health-informed response trainings to enhance officers' ability to address community safety concerns adequately.

Remote Learning Access
In 2020, Brian initiated the proposal to allocate $1.5 million in CARES Act funds toward providing low-income students in DuPage with free internet services to ensure their access to remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
